Confinement

Vera is a brilliant surgeon, who specialised in planned abdominal surgery. The profession has taught her to be strong, tough and be able to hide her feelings. One day, Vera gets to know that her patient (Zoya, 17 years old) died due to strange circumstances. Not long ago, Vera helped Zoya to acquire opioid analgesics after surgery by using counterfeit prescriptions.  Due to the launched investigation, a forgery comes up to light and Vera becomes an object of criminal proceedings for drug trafficking.Vera collaborates with investigator Pakhomov in order to figure out what happened to her patient. As a result, Vera is sentenced to 5 years with a ban to profession. However, the prosecutor's office offers Vera a deal: serve an alternative sentence as a forensic scientist at the Investigation Committee.
